Wonderful Weekend in Norway

How amazing to find ourselves sharing our love of books with such a sympathetic and like-minded group of Norwegian book lovers! I just keep laughing at the thought of what we did this weekend. "Oh just going off to book club...IN NORWAY with our Norwegian friends." Your English is superb and that you can discuss the books with such insight and clarity is something you (Norwegians!)should all be extremely proud of. We English speakers will eventually learn to say a bit more than tak tak!!! But I wouldn't hold your breath.

Tak to all for the efforts made on our behalf to make this such an enjoyable visit. Everything was just so relaxed and easy, but that is due to the very good organizational work behind our visit. So many, many thanks for... the quaint bedrooms, the guided walk, the shrimp feast, the red soup outing, the taxis, cakes, buns, coffee and the choice of the quaint seaside town, Stavern, all made for a charming and enjoyable visit.

To see the coastline after reading 'A Blessed Child' put it all in a clearer perspective. The discussion of the books and life and general, sharing of opinions and views enriched my life. I marvel at the blessing it is to have this wonderful and strange opportunity. I'm sure many of you share this feeling of sisterhood that was so evident in our meeting this weekend as well as in weekends past.

And if you look at the little slideshow next to this post you can see my photos! My flickr user name is plsw and you can see them at www.flickr.com as well. I know we can all upload them and somehow tag them together, but that is a rainy day project and it is too sunny and my garden needs water...

We did it again! We made it possible to meet again and it was just as magic as last time.

Thank you all :)

Love, Rigmor

Reason for holding your breath: you know 3 norw. words already; Tak = 1)ceiling and 2)roof, Takk = 3)thank you.
We had a lovely time in Stavern, thanks to all! And I have got the fludium leftovers safely in the basement. But I dont't think the name is appropriate at all! What about a more precise The International Drinking Ladies Literary Society?
